In this work, we revisit auto-exposure management as a substitute for HDR sensors. We propose a neural network for exposure selection that’s educated collectively, end-to-end with an object detector and a picture sign processing pipeline. To this end, we introduce a novel HDR dataset for automotive object detection and an HDR training process.
Photo #1 will use the publicity settings you made on the time you took your shot. Then, the digicam will merge together these three photographs and save the end result to the SD card as a single JPEG image. On an overcast day with little sun and few shadows, there will be a reasonably low dynamic range, i.e. there shall be no areas of deep black and no excessive shiny spots. On a sunny day, however, in a scene with distinct shadows, there might be a greater distinction between the brightest and darkest areas, and this is what we name a large dynamic range or WDR .
